Where is the oil filter located in a 1997 mercedes benz c230?

Top of the engine, driver's side, near the front. There's a black plastic spin-on cover that requires a special wrench to turn. The oil filter cartridge resides underneath. Check the o-rings carefully when installing the new one as if any are missing or displaced during installation it will leak like a sieve.
