Is my writing to dull or something? Or complicated?

not bad. but a tad adjective-laden. use less adjectives and avoid adverbs like the plague (stephen king once said that "the road to hell is paved with adverbs"). instead of watering down your sentences with extra descriptive words, try to select more specific nouns and verbs. but overall, not bad at all. never ever ever stop writing!
