Is the Mercedes Benz S550 suitable for a college student?

Or should I just get the g550...? I need a car that's SOLID...as in if someone rams into me..the car will be able to sacrifice itself for my safety (in certain circumstances that is)....I know with 100k I could get an aston martin v8...maserati gt...or even an audi r8..but those are too fast and daddy won't invest :(
