How do i test him to see if he likes me?

so i just met a guy on Monday we hung out for a few hours he bought me Starbucks, took me to the beach, and just drove around in his Mercedes Benz. i was trying to read him the entire time but it was impossible. he wants to hangout again so we agreed on Thursday but i have work and so i suggested Friday, he had plans with some buddies but he said he would much rather be with me instead. so i'm wondering if there is any test i could do or say to see if he may or may not like me? also he said he was going to text me yesterday but never did he doesn't seem to txt me a lot he usually does the day before and the day off when we are about to meet up, is that bad?
